Marouane founded LAWBE with a clear mission: give ambitious companies the legal partner they actually need — responsive, transparent, and fluent in business. Rather than building a traditional law firm, he designed LAWBE as an outsourced general counsel practice: companies hand off their legal questions, contract reviews, compliance needs, and strategic decisions to a dedicated senior lawyer who knows their business inside out.

His practice spans IP-IT, commercial contracts, GDPR compliance, corporate governance, and a unique Belgium-Morocco-MENA corridor — always with the same direct approach: understand the business first, then deliver legal solutions that enable growth.

Every international engagement at LAWBE is personally overseen by Marouane.

Since 2017, Nicolas has been closely involved with AfterShip — first as external General Counsel, then in-house — building and structuring the legal function as the company grew from an early-stage startup to a global, unicorn-scale SaaS organisation with more than 600 employees and offices across 4 continents.

He currently acts as certified Data Protection Officer and Trademark Portfolio Manager, overseeing global compliance and IP strategy while continuing to provide GC advisory support. His practice spans general counsel advisory, intellectual property strategy, trademark portfolio management, data protection governance, and SaaS/technology contracts.

His focus: clear, solution-oriented advice and legal frameworks that enable growth rather than slow it down.
