Do I need a DPO?
Six to nine questions, in your browser, without any artificial intelligence model. Nothing is sent to the firm unless you leave your details at the end.
Take the test
The questionnaire runs in French: its decision tree quotes the GDPR, the Belgian law of 30 July 2018 and the European guidelines word for word, and I would rather not paraphrase them in a second language.
If you read French, take it here. If not, write me three lines about what your organisation does with personal data: I answer in writing, in English, within one business day (Brussels time), and I tell you whether a DPO is required and what it would cost.
What the test answers
- Whether the law requires you to appoint a DPOThe GDPR sets out three cases, and Belgian law a fourth. The test walks through them in plain words, without jargon.
- What you must have in place, even without a DPOA record of processing, information to the people concerned, contracts with your processors, a log of data breaches. These are due in every case.
- The retainer that matches your sizeFrom two hours a month to several days a week, with the monthly price and the price with a one-year commitment.
What happens to your answers
- Nothing leaves your browserThe decision tree runs on your device. No answer is sent unless you leave your details at the end of the test.
- No artificial intelligence model is involvedThe questions and the outcomes are written in advance. The same answers give the same result, every time.
- Your progress stays on your deviceThe questionnaire picks up where you left it, from the tab's memory. Closing the browser clears everything.
What it is not
The test gives a steer, it does not qualify anything. Whether an activity is a core activity or is carried out on a large scale is assessed case by case, on the real description of the activity, and the test does not bind the firm.
Three lines to know whether I can help.
Write your situation, I answer in writing within 24 working hours: whether I can help, where to start, what it would cost. Free and without commitment.
